City of Randolph
Randolph is governed by a mayor-council form of government. Mr. Neil Kluver is currently the Mayor of Randolph. City Council members are Marlin Van Slyke, Mike Dowling, Brad Bargstadt, and Rick Alderson.

Sewage - Randolph has a municipal sanitary sewage system and a storm sewer system. The oxidization ditch and clarifier treatment plant was built in 1969.
Streets - Randolph has 9.82 miles of streets; 7 miles are hard surfaced with cement and brick. Ninety-six percent of the streets have curbs and 80 percent have sidewalks. There are no local load restrictions. Street maintenance includes street sweeping and snow removal.
Water - Randolph’s municipal water system is supplied by two wells with an average depth of 157 feet.
Solid Waste Disposal - Municipally-owned waste removal services are available in Randolph. Wastes are hauled to a privately-owned disposal site.
Utilities
Electricity - The City of Randolph purchases its total power requirements from Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) at the wholesale power level.
Natural Gas - Natural gas is supplied and distributed in the community by Source Gas.

Fire Protection
Fire protection is provided in the community by a 25-member volunteer fire department. The department also provides protection to areas outside the community limits through an agreement with the Rural Fire District serving 127 sections and the village of Sholes.
Lied Randolph Public Library
The Lied Randolph Public Library is located at 109 N. Douglas, southeast of the Randolph High School. The library outgrew the historic Carnegie building which was built in 1918. Groundbreaking for a new 5,200 square foot Lied Randolph Public Library was held in March 2006. The new library was dedicated in April 2007. The library serves residents of Randolph, and surrounding Cedar, Pierce and Wayne counties.

Law Enforcement
The Randolph City Police is staffed by one full-time and three part-time police officers. The Cedar County Sheriff’s Department in Hartington employs four sworn officers and five support personnel. Regular patrol by the Police and Sheriff’s Departments provide protection to existing businesses.

Nursing Home
The Colonial Manor of Randolph is located at 811 S. Main. This facility was built in 1968. The facility offers 17 private and 13 semi private rooms. Twenty-four hour supervision is provided by licensed nurses and a caring, understanding, and highly trained staff. Numerous skilled services are available to residents on an in-house basis. These services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation in its own special unit, an activity center, a conference room, a resident lounge, chapel, and employee break room, a self-serve snack bar, and a well-equipped kitchen. Additionally, residents’ families can reserve a time to dine with their resident in a private family dining room. Colonial Manor is Medicare and Medicaid approved. Assisted Living
Colonial Estates of Randolph is located at 811 S. Main attached to the nursing home. This nine-unit assisted living section was completed in 2000.

Senior Citizen Center
The Randolph Senior Citizens Center, Inc, located at 104 W. Broadway St. was established in 1984. The Senior Citizens Center provides year-round programs, congregate meals, and meals on wheels for shut-ins. It is a non-profit organization, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in order to promote social service programs. Connected with the Northeast Nebraska Area Agency of Aging, many services are offered including legal services, senior care, outreach lifeline, housekeeping, and transportation. Telecommunications
Qwest Communications is the local exchange carrier in the Randolph area with a high-speed digital central office. Qwest is capable of providing business and residential lines, Qwest long distance, market expansion lines, class and custom calling features, ISDN, and high-speed Internet. Installation and maintenance personnel are located in the community.

The Randolph Times is Randolph’s local newspaper. The newspaper is owned by the Northeast Nebraska News Company which also owns the Cedar County News, Laurel Advocate, Osmond Republican, Wausa Gazette and Coleridge Blade.
